Brukarros Beef & Lamb Value Chain Venture
Transforming an established processing facility into a fully integrated, operationally controlled beef and lamb value chain, from dedicated feedlots through EU-approved processing to tannery operations.
AMPM Futures, lead development consultant: full project strategy, bankable business plan, operational structuring and fundraising coordination for New Dawn Feeders and its partners.
What makes Brukarros different
Existing infrastructure, existing certification and committed offtake: a value chain that needs recapitalisation rather than invention. The Brukarros Meat Processors facility on Farm Coenbalt 185, 25km south of Keetmanshoop, is an established multi-species abattoir, deboning plant and tannery. It is EU-approved and FSSC 22000-certified, one of very few multi-species facilities in Southern Africa approved for EU export.
Core objectives
- Revitalise and upgrade the EU-approved, FSSC 22000-certified abattoir, deboning plant and tannery to high capacity utilisation and operational excellence.
- Establish integrated cattle feedlots in the cooler northern region (Otjiwarongo area) and a sheep feedlot adjacent to the abattoir, incorporating “SuperGrow” feeding technology to raise feed efficiency, growth rates and meat grading.
- Secure full operational control of the entire value chain, from primary production and feed security to processing and export, eliminating supply volatility, with traceability under Namibia’s FAN Meat and NamLITS standards.
- Leverage committed international offtake from GPS Food Group (via GPS Food Group AS, Norway), purchasing production for Norway and EU markets, alongside preferential trade access to the EU, UK and Norway.
- Generate economic impact through job creation, skills development, animal welfare standards and local value addition, with strong community empowerment emphasis.
The value chain, end to end
Feedlot production (cattle north, sheep at-plant) → multi-species processing and deboning → value-added tannery operations → committed export offtake. Operational control at every link is the de-risking strategy: feed security in, traceable product out.
What comes next
The recapitalisation and expansion requires a total investment injection of approximately US$15.4 million (NAD 295 million). Fundraising coordination is currently paused, pending engagements; the bankable business plan is complete and available to qualified investors under NDA.
