Terebinte Integrated Agriculture Project

The hub, component by component

Terebinte applies the Integrated Production Hub Model to prime Zambian agricultural land: four production systems feeding one processing core, wrapped in self-sufficient infrastructure layers.

• Poultry: commercial poultry farms supplying key markets and the processing core.
• Aquaculture: prawn and fish farms with 4,000–6,000t designed capacity.
• Agri-tunnels: 10–50ha of climate-resilient vegetable tunnel farming.
• Processing hub: 15,000t p.a. designed capacity for poultry, fish and vegetables.
• Export trading: US$15m p.a. targeted export revenue to regional markets.

The infrastructure layers

Every production system sits inside the IPHM’s integrated infrastructure: renewable energy for grid independence, sustainable and efficient water systems, fully integrated hub-controlled logistics, and a cloud-based platform integrating IoT, AI and analytics. Together these provide precision production systems with predictive performance analytics, granular management and supply-chain optimisation.

Impact design

The impact case rests on food security, permanent jobs, community wealth and energy security. Skills training gives priority to women and youth, with cooperative participation throughout. The hub design itself absorbs market, disease, production and climate risk.

What comes next

The immediate milestone is feasibility funding and execution of the proof-of-concept pilot project in 2026. This is a targeted technology-design pilot, scaled to a hub operational demonstration, then to full hub potential. The pilot is the proof-of-concept stage within the broader US$60m Phase 1 Terebinte Zambia design; pilot outcomes de-risk the full programme. Phase 2 replicates the model: three hubs across geographic nodes by 2029, US$150m, with 2,000–3,000 further jobs targeted.
